The Anacostia Waterfront Trust is proud to sponsor award winning nature photographer Krista Schlyer as she continues to highlight the beauty, as well as unrealized potential, of the Anacostia River. Schlyer focuses on conservation, biodiversity, and public lands throughout the United States. In the past, her work has has been featured by the BBC, National Parks Defender, and The Nature Conservancy. Her ongoing Anacostia Project aims to tell the story of the River though compelling images of wildlife, people, pollution, and solutions. To date, she has gathered thousand.
