Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
Located at the northern end of the Anacostia River waterfront in the District of Columbia, the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens provide a beautiful natural setting and an opportunity to see birds, wildlife and rare plant species.
Once the private gardens of a water lily enthusiast, the Aquatic Gardens are now the only place where the National Park Service grows aquatic plants. The National Park Service offers Nature Walks, birding walks and regular programming for kids.
The Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens are home to the annual Lotus and Water Lily Festival, a celebration that includes gardening workshops, traditional Asian & African dancing performances, hands-on activities, lotus tea tasting, educational and cultural exhibitors and more.
